Welcome Nolin Bronson

So after a very tiring morning with Ian waking up very early and me being barely able to walk, I started to feel back aches every so often. The idea popped into my head but I quickly pushed it aside as I was only 36 weeks. So I tried to do laundry and I at that point was starting to feel immense pain. I continued with laundry and thank heavens Taylor was running late for school as she fed Ian and started working on breathing with me and massaging my back so I could relax. As a double thank heavens Kira came home from school and was able to stay home so Taylor could take me to the hospital. It all happened so fast but within a few hours I was dilated to 10. As I had just barely gotten my strep-beta culture 2 days prior they did not have the results. So they were administering penicillin through my IV. They would not let me push until it was all delivered so I was fully dilated for 2 hours before I started pushing. Well when I was able to push, I pushed for 10 minutes and out comes my really long but skinny baby boy. It was an amazing experience to welcome Nolin Bronson at 19 1/2 inches and 5lbs. 15oz.

Halloween Bash

Halloween was so much fun this year. The LeSueur side of our family all gathered at Jennifer's house for a fun dinner and then the festivities of trick or treating began. I raised a few eyebrows as a nun poster child for the immaculate conception. Mike was a cowboy and Ian was of course a monkey. What else would suit him!

Smores

Because they are the treat to beat around a campfire (or fire period). We all had a fun little even that was cool enough to have a backyard fire, roast marshmallows, and have some good old smores. They are so yummy! Emily along with a few of her cousins really enjoyed it. Until I ruined it by having Emily come in and finish her reading time before bed. We all had a whole lot of fun.

Getting Closer

Yeah, I am getting so close to having another little boy. My belly is huge but in a good way. I have a healthy little tike in there. So let's see um, 2 more months!!!

Again

Self-destruction appears to be my child's favorite thing. So after about a week and a half after getting his stitches out he decides to rock on the chair while everyone is preparing for dinner. Well he fell face forward and the top part of his teeth went through the outside of his lip and the bottom part of his teeth went through the inside. Well both teeth met together through his lower lip thus again another ER visit. Because of where it was at they advised it would be best to do glue instead of stitches so not to create a major scar on his lipline. He just never quits!

Stitches

So if my child isn't destructive enough, he has to go and get stitches. I wasn't there so Daddy took him. I guess they were outside swimming and he started running across the pool decking, fell forward, and cut his chin open real good. He's a tough little sun of a gun but goodness if it's not one scrape it's another.

Backpack Brigade

So I decided I was no longer going to carry a diaper bag for Ian. I went and got him a small little backpack at Target. He absolutely loves it and want to wear it all the time. So one morning he was wearing it and Noah decided he too wanted to wear nothing but his underwear and his backpack and they played like this all morning. Boys!

Mother's Day 2008

Mother's Day, woohoo! Since I wasn't going to have Emily we did a little picnic on Friday and then on Sunday really no one came over. So it was just Mom, Grandma, Kira, and I. I made spinach manicotti for everyone and we had a load of fun!

Easter 2008

So this year we had an extremely laid back Easter. We saw almost everyone. The best thing was that Ian was already walking and after being shown what to do once he was able to hold Daddy's hand and put the Eggs in his basket. Emily was busy off trying to find the plastic egg with the money inside so all my pics of her show her heading in some other direction walking out of the view of the camera lense. Well we all had fun and of course the company of family was as enjoyable as ever!

Ian's Endoscope

Ian has not been growing as the Doctors hoped so he has been seeing a Gastroenterologist. On February 15th he had an endoscope procedure done (where they take a tiny camera and put this down his throat to his stomach). They did not find any blockage or anything out of the ordinary in his stomach. Now we are just waiting for the results from the biopsies. They took some tissue from his stomach to check for any diseases, infections, or any other abnormalities. Ian was a total trooper throughout it all!
